When Should You See a Shoulder Specialist

  1. Is your shoulder affecting your ability to sleep well at night?
  2. Are you having any pain or weakness with overhead use of your shoulder? For example, do you have difficulty reaching into the back seat of your car, throwing a ball, or using your arm to reach up into a cabinet?
  3. Does shoulder pain affect your ability to perform any of your daily activities, hobbies, or sports?
  4. Does your shoulder feel like it is popping or sliding around?
  5. Is the shoulder pain persistent for several days or weeks even with rest, anti-inflammatories or other over the counter remedies?
